Hotmart reaches the milestone of 26 million users

In addition to its 10th anniversary, Hotmart, one of the global leaders in the digital product market, is also celebrating the milestone of 26 million users.

With this achievement, the company strengthens its global position and consolidates itself as the largest in its segment in Brazil and Latin America. With global operations, headquarters in Amsterdam, Netherlands, and offices in Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, Spain, Netherlands, the United States, France, and the United Kingdom, Hotmart offers solutions for content creators to turn their knowledge and passions into a digital product, such as online courses, ebooks, premium communities, among other formats.

"This milestone of 26 million users highlights the fact that our platform has expanded the possibilities for increasingly more people to make a living from their passions by teaching and learning online," said João Pedro Resende, CEO and co-founder of Hotmart.

From a small Brazilian startup to a global leader in the segment, the company is expanding rapidly. In 2020 alone, it acquired three companies: Wollo, Klickpages, and Teachable. Moreover, the total in platform transactions more than doubled in 2020 compared to 2019. In late March, Hotmart announced an investment of USD$130 million in its Series C funding round led by the American fund TCV, an investor in companies such as Netflix, Spotify, Airbnb, Facebook, and LinkedIn. With the investment, the company has reinforced its status as a unicorn, a position achieved last year when it raised investments to acquire the American startup Teachable and entered the US market.

For the upcoming years, the company's goals are to maintain accelerated growth and further expand the features offered on its platform, providing all the solutions that digital entrepreneurs need in one place. Expanding to new markets, both organically and through acquisitions, is another major priority.
